“I’d like to say a few short words about the Lavry LE4496.  Very Short. I always liked to go to tape- tape was my favorite thing to mix to; I don’t go there anymore because I can get the greatest sound ever out of this guy right here.”

ABOUT

Jack Douglas is sometimes known as “the 6th member” of Aerosmith because of his close working and personal relationship with the band throughout the years and for his creative contributions to some of their albums, but Jack is a man who climbed a beanstalk and though hard work and love of music brought a huge sack of golden eggs. -gold and platinum records- back to earth from the clouds.

Jack’s story really does read like a fairy tail.  He started out as a kid who loved The Beattles so much that he stowed away on a ship to England and made the news by being deported back to the USA.  He found a job at a studio in New York as a janitor, and worked his way up to producer; becoming friend and associate to some of the greatest performers to emerge from the golden age of rock, including John & Yoko.

Some of his other notable clients have included:

Aerosmith, Cheap Trick, The New York Dolls, Supertramp, Slash, Alice Cooper, David Bowie, Stevie Wonder, Bob Dillon, George Harrison, and Blue Oyster Cult
